PureCare Living is a subsidiary of Insight Investment Partners (“Insight”), a commercial real estate investment and management firm headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, specializing in core-plus, value added project opportunities. Over the past 25 years, the group has performed successfully by delivering cash flow, maintaining capital preservation and providing equity appreciation to its investors.
In 2015 the company began a new Insight Initiative to expand the portfolio to include senior housing and healthcare facilities. Since starting the initiative, Insight has acquired a 31.5-acre parcel of land in Henderson, Nevada, for the development of a senior housing and healthcare campus known as “Riverstone.” Included in the campus is a post-acute care facility, assisted living and memory care facility, age restricted apartments, and a medical office complex and ancillary retail buildings.
To deliver on its promise of performance, Insight assembled PureCare Living, an experienced continuum-of-care management team, to facilitate and manage the health care segments of the Riverstone project. This senior care management team is focused on providing a full continuum of senior care as an alternative to traditional Continuing Care Retirement Communities (“CCRC’s”). The group will offer the market consistent high-quality patient/resident focused care in a variety of complementary settings ranging from post-acute skilled nursing facilities, memory care, assisted living, independent living and other home and community based services.
For successful health care operations, understanding the current regulatory environment and keeping up with changes as regulations are modified and adjusted is crucial. As part of its full continuum of care services, Pure Care Living provides comprehensive support for licensing and regulatory compliance at the local, state and federal levels. Our team has decades of experience working with the State of Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH), which is contracted with the Centers for Medicare / Medicaid Services (CMS) for regulatory compliance reviews for Skilled Nursing Facilities and Residential Facilities such as Group Homes and Assisted Living Centers.
For already existing Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) and Residential Facilities, Pure Care Living will support and prepare for DPBH’s annual reviews as well as handle any and all complaint investigations for all levels of care. Our compliance efforts are focused on providing service that exceeds current quality measures and anticipates regulatory adjustments for all levels of care including hospitals, SNFs and home and community based services.
Pure Care Living also has the ability to act as a liaison or state appointed operator for Nevada facilities that have compliance issues. In these roles, we work with the provider to restore compliance in a timely manner with a goal of reducing any financial penalties that can be imposed by regulatory agencies.
For new health care providers and operations, Pure Care Living offers full technical assistance and certification support for DHHS and DPBH licensing requirements. As sticklers for details, our team knows how to maneuver through the bureaucratic red tape and keep the permitting process to keep the project on time, on schedule and on budget.
With few exceptions, senior housing in Nevada, specifically Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF’s) and to a lesser extent Residential Facilities for Groups (RFG’s), have been managed by entities outside of Nevada. PureCare Living, LLC was originally formed to facilitate the Riverstone project in Henderson, Nevada, specifically for the senior housing and post-acute care components needed to deliver a competitive continuum of healthcare to southern Nevadans n area.
Our experience goes beyond working as a provider in Nevada and other states. Over the last 30 years, our work with providers, compliance agencies, quality organizations, legislators and policy makers, and insurance companies and other compensation sources across the entire continuum of care has broadened our understanding of why a Nevada-based management company would have an advantage in this market.
PureCare’s management model embraces and promotes the individuality and empowerment of each operating community as a “local” business. To be effective, this empowerment requires extensive training, communication and comprehensive systems and processes to monitor activity and ensure compliance.
By focusing on empowerment, we create a shared capacity to combine a caring culture with a culture of execution – getting things done and being deliberate about the way issues are managed to provide optimal care with sustainable economic performance.
